Intermountain, a visionary non-profit that has been impacting the lives of children and families in Montana for over 100 years, we are seeking a Human Resources Generalist.

Summary:

The Human Resource Generalist is responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level and working closely with the Human Resources team in supporting strategic intent and meeting performance markers. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: benefits administration, onboarding, policy implementation, employment law compliance, and implementation of the HR Information System. This role ensures compliance with all federal and state employment laws, personnel policies, and agency standards that affect the legal accreditation status of Intermountain.   The HR Generalist is responsible to prepare payroll bi-weekly and maintains the organizations payroll system.

Under the direction of the CHRO, the HR Team works to support the organizations fiscal and clinical outcomes. In order to achieve this, the HR Generalist works with the HR Team to develop the workforce and create a culture of high performance and accountability. 

The above knowledge, skills and abilities are typically acquired through a:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or related field and two (2) years’ experience in Human Resources; an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. 
  • Certification or ability to work toward certification with applicable Human Resources professional organization preferred, such as SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or Professional in Human Resources (PHR). 
  • Obtain and maintain current Notary Commission. Requires a MT Drivers License.
