LumenAd’s Staff Accountant is responsible for supporting and contributing to the LumenAd Finance and Operations team. The Staff Accountant’s primary role is to assist in maintaining accurate and complete financial records, process daily and routine accounting transactions and duties, and regular communication with clients, vendors, and colleagues. The position will also assist in managing the day-to-day office administration of the LumenAd Bozeman location with support from the corporate Operations team in Missoula.
This is a full-time position based in Bozeman, MT that reports to the Controller. Salary is dependent on qualifications and experience.
Receives, processes and verifies bills which includes communication with LumenAd team members and vendors to ensure approval and accuracy of the charges
Records bills into the accounting system ensuring correct coding by department and general ledger account
Prepares payment for vendors ensuring discount opportunities are being monitored, discrepancies have been resolved and proper documentation and approval has been received
Provides payment remittances to all vendors and ensures accounting records properly reflect payments made
Assist with the on-boarding of new customers (e.g. initiating credit checks, providing vendor documentation, etc.)
Assist with monthly invoicing of customers in accordance with contracts
Post revenue into the accounting system
Post customer payments and record the deposits in the accounting system
Communicate with customers regularly to ensure that payments are received in a timely manner
Resolve collection issues and validate customer balances by examining payments, invoices and entering adjusting entries as necessary
Summarize and communicate the status of customer balances with LumenAd management and internal team members on a weekly basis
Assist in preparing monthly payroll and ad-hoc payroll runs as needed
Record payroll journal entries into the accounting system
Reconcile payroll liability accounts monthly
Code and record corporate credit card activity within the accounting system weekly
Assist in month-end closing process in accordance with GAAP
Assist with the development of new policies, procedures and process improvements
Support the Controller with compliance and audits procedures
Assist with other duties as deemed appropriate by the Controller and CFO
Assisting the corporate Operations team with day-to-day needs for the Bozeman office location as needed
Assist with other general administrative needs of the company as deemed appropriate by the Controller and the corporate Operations team
