The Controller for the Montana State University Alumni Foundation is the senior accounting position responsible for external financial reporting for six entities and compliance with federal/state financial requirements and regulations. The Controller establishes policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure efficiency, GAAP compliant accounting, and protection of the Alumni Foundation’s assets. This position manages one accounting staff position and reports to the Alumni Foundation’s Vice President of Finance and Accounting. This position will include a combination of remote and onsite work in Bozeman, MT.
Desired candidates must possess a Baccalaureate Degree with five plus years accounting experience including preparing GAAP financial statements and facilitating audits. CPA (Certified Public Accountant) designation is preferred, along with at least one year of non-profit accounting experience and experience managing accounting staff.
