Job Description

We are looking for a Data Engineer to assist in the development and expansion of our advertising intelligence platform. You should be a team player that enjoys problem solving and be committed to resolving issues using the greatest tools and technology available.

The Data Engineering & Analytics team is in charge of data extraction/loading, data transformation, and data modeling in preparation for analytics queries. As a Data Engineer, you will collaborate closely with other engineers on the Data Technical & Analytics team and other engineering teams to ensure that the Lumenad platform receives correct and timely data.

Experience with ETL/ELT data pipelines and data warehousing is required. It is critical to have a firm grasp of distributed computing ideas, design patterns, and best practices.


Headquarters are located in Missoula, Montana. Bozeman, Montana and Brno, Czech Republic offices

Remote work is a flexible hybrid work model.


  • Create and manage data pipelines for advertising data extraction, loading, and transformation.
  • Suggestion, creation, and implementation of data management patterns and procedures
  • Collaborate with others (successful teams equal successful products)
  • Develop software that is scalable and maintainable in order to support new features and products.
  • Automated tests - unit and integration - and maintain them
  • Additionally, as this role evolves, additional responsibilities may be assigned.


  • Three or more years of experience in data engineering
  • Knowledge of data warehouses on a practical level (Snowflake preferred)
  • Working knowledge of distributed systems and microservices
  • Understanding of virtualization environments, containers, and orchestration technologies (Docker/Kubernetes desirable) and expertise with them
  • Knowledge of cloud computing environments, specifically as they pertain to serverless applications (AWS Lambda preferred)
  • Experience with source control (Git is desirable), branching techniques, and projects involving numerous developers
  • Excellent English communicator

Competencies and Experiences

  • Python and/or other server-side languages such as Go, Javascript, and Java
  • Extensive experience with data pipeline products such as Fivetran, dbt, and Airflow, as well as experience with data warehousing
  • Working knowledge or experience with NoSQL databases such as Elasticsearch or MongoDB
  • Acquire a working knowledge of the Agile development process
  • AdTech or MarTech industry experience
  • Extensive experience with ETL/ELT procedures and tools (extract/transform/load, extract/load/transform).
  • Linux and server-side infrastructure knowledge required to enable web apps
  • Capability of efficiently interacting with legacy code while transitioning to new paradigms


Bachelor's degree in computer science or a comparable combination of education and experience
