As an Energy Engineer, you will put your experience to work with clients to design and install cost-effective energy information systems that will enable them to reach their energy efficiency goals. Our turnkey energy metering and monitoring systems are used by clients throughout the US, giving you the opportunity to visit sites from the Heartland of America to the island paradises of Hawaii. Key Duties and Responsibilities: For Clients
Perform on-site surveys to identify key monitoring points for energy and water efficiency in commercial, institutional, and industrial facilities
Design cost-effective energy information systems
Coordinate project implementation between clients and vendors/contractors
Final commissioning services for installed metering and monitoring hardware
Provide on-going support and maintenance of installed systems
Deliver clear, concise communications in all client correspondence
For NHT
Perform fieldwork in designing and installing energy metering and monitoring systems
Assist in the preparation of cost estimates for new projects
Serve as Project Manager for system installations, managing client and team expectations, budget oversight, and keeping NHT team members abreast of progress and issues
Maintain clear communication channels between clients and NHT team members
Support NHT technical support team with verification of monitoring system data to identify system faults or client building system issues
Maintain client satisfaction by investigating anomalous system data, implementing corrective action, and providing feedback to client and team
Establish relationships with vendors, contractors, client utility partners, and others
Continuously develop your knowledge in new metering technologies, network IT, and project management
Share your technical expertise with your colleagues
Support business development efforts as required
Flexibility to work outside normal working hours and on weekends as required
Qualifications / Skills / Education:
BS in Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience in Energy Engineering, Instrumentation and Controls, or other energy sector technical fields.
Experience in commercial construction management, energy consulting, or other related fields
Proficiency with computer applications
Basic IT and networking skills
Ability to work regularly and dependably
Ability to work both autonomously and in a team environment
Attention to detail
Excellent communication skills and ability to interface professionally with clients and fellow team members
A desire for hands-on project management and customer contact
Ability and desire to travel
CEM desired, but not required
